in Their Own Words

Following on the pioneering work of Peter and Iona Opie, CIRCI will be developing two oral history projects in 2022.

The first to document the language of children’s playground games in the city of Reggio Emilia; the second, in collaboration with the Russian publisher EKSMO, to record the memories of Russians of their first experience of the work of the Italian children’s writer Gianni Rodari in the 1950s and 60s.
