Books
without words

Classroom settings often put children who have not mastered the language at a severe disadvantage.

Books without words have proven to be an effective means to increase participation and valorise the unique creative and intellectual abilities of all students. With the help of internationally recognised illustrators such as Peter Sìs and Hervé Tullet, CIRCI is developing books without words to use both at school and at home. In 2022, CIRCI is planning, in collaboration with the Fondazione Cini, to offer to illustrators three one-week residencies at the Fondazione Cini in Venice to work with their extensive collections as inspiration.
