One upon a time
in the library

Children’s classics by Roald Dahl, Kornei Chukovsky, Samuil Marshak and Annie M.G. Schmidt, in English, Russian, French, German, Dutch and Spanish, are narrated by famous actors from six different countries.

Once upon a time in the library is a response to the exceptional closure of the schools in 2020 and 2021, which has left hundreds of thousands of children at home. Library staff and famous actors including Sonia Bergamasco and Marco Gambino took turns reading favourite children’s stories in videos online.

So this library decided that if people could not come to the library, the library would go to them. It thought of all the children stuck at home unable to go to school, and started to read …”
